Tham Thaiyanont, MS, CSCS, RSCC, ASCA-L1

A Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Head Coach and Founder of COACH AND CRAFT Performance

A former national youth judo athlete, Coach Tham began his journey in sports science with no prior background. He was accepted into the Faculty of Sports Science at Chulalongkorn University through the National Sports Development Program scholarship.

As he progressed through his studies, he applied scientific principles from each semester to his own physical preparation for major competitions such as the National Games and University Games—seeing real improvements in his performance.

Before graduating, he completed a clinical internship in sports medicine at Siriraj Hospital, Faculty of Medicine. There, he worked with injured athletes, helping them recover through exercise and movement instruction—from walking with crutches to being able to jump onto a plyometric box and return to sport.

After completing his bachelor’s degree, he was awarded a scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in sports science. His thesis focused on energy expenditure in elite female Sepaktakraw athletes. During his graduate studies, he also began coaching general populations in fitness and strength training.

In 2013, he started working at Fit Junctions as one of the earliest trainers. He later became Head Trainer, responsible for educating and mentoring new coaches, while overseeing program development and staff training.

In 2017, the Judo Association of Thailand invited Coach Tham to serve as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the national team. He contributed to preparation for major events including the SEA Games 2017, Asian Games 2018, and SEA Games 2019—where the Thai judo team achieved an outstanding result of 7 gold medals, including individual and team events.

Today, Coach Tham is the founder and head coach at COACH AND CRAFT, where he provides private strength and conditioning coaching to athletes across Thailand. He currently works with Phitchamon Opatniputh, a professional badminton player competing internationally.

In 2025, Coach Tham also began leading the strength and conditioning program at Honda Racing Thailand, working with elite motorcycle racers. His role includes developing motorsport-specific physical preparation strategies, optimizing athlete readiness, and implementing performance testing and recovery systems.

With over a decade of experience, Coach Tham specializes in training three main groups:

  • General population aiming for better health and fitness

  • Athletes seeking to enhance performance for competition

  • Individuals recovering from sports injuries, returning to play safely
